Robyn finds connection and confidence at Blueheath community
For Robyn, life at Blueheath has brought a renewed sense of connection, with new friendships, shared activities and a community that quickly feels like home.

After casually searching for the right retirement community for more than two years, Kevin and Bibi knew they'd found it the moment they walked into Blueheath at Medowie.
For Kevin and Bibi, moving to Blueheath wasn't a rushed decision. It was one they made carefully, weighing up what mattered most for the next chapter of their lives.
After 36 years in their family home, maintaining a large block and navigating hilly surrounds had become more challenging. With retirement well underway and family becoming an even bigger priority, the couple began searching for somewhere that offered comfort, connection and the freedom to enjoy life without the constant upkeep.
Just two weeks into life at Blueheath, they say they already know they made the right choice.
"We looked at quite a few retirement communities over a couple of years, but Blueheath just stood out straight away," Kevin said.
"It wasn't too big, the quality of the homes impressed us and everyone we spoke to had nothing but good things to say. That gave us a lot of confidence."
The move has also brought the couple significantly closer to their daughters and growing family. One daughter, who recently welcomed newborn twins alongside her two young children, is now just 30 minutes away.
"Being closer to the grandkids was a huge factor for us," Kevin said.
"We wanted to be nearby as the family grows, but still have our own beautiful home and lifestyle. Blueheath gives us both."
Their new three-bedroom home offers plenty of space for family visits while being far easier to manage than the property they left behind. Wide hallways, generous doorways and a practical, single-level layout made moving in straight forward, while thoughtful design features provide everyday comfort.
Positioned at the end of Stage 7, their home also enjoys a setting backing onto natural bushland.
"We've got the best of both worlds," Kevin said.
"It's nice and quiet where we are with the trees behind us, but the community is there whenever we want it. We can be as social as we like."
Although they've only recently unpacked the last of the boxes, the couple are already embracing village life.
Kevin has enjoyed his first swim in Blueheath's heated indoor pool, while Bibi is taking part in the weekly arts and crafts group, and plans to partake in the water aerobics classes.
"We've already met so many lovely people," Kevin said.
"It really was the right place at the right time," he said.
"Knowing everything is complete gives you that sense of peace. We could move in knowing this is exactly how the community will be."
Looking back, Kevin encourages anyone considering retirement living to simply take a look for themselves.
"If you're searching for somewhere that feels welcoming, offers quality homes and has great facilities, it's hard to go past Blueheath," he said.
"It’s been a very good fit for us. The whole experience has exceeded our expectations, and we genuinely feel like we're home."
With only a limited number of homes remaining, Stage 7 represents the final opportunity to become part of the Blueheath community, located within The Bower.
Thoughtfully designed for low-maintenance living, the spacious two and three-bedroom homes feature open-plan layouts, contemporary kitchens with quality appliances, generous master suites with ensuites, ample storage, private outdoor entertaining areas and secure double garages.
With demand remaining strong, these final homes are not expected to last long. Take a closer look at what’s available here.
